Apple and The Beatles on 09/09/09?
by E. Christopher Clark | Tuesday, September 1, 2009

According to Mac Rumors, this year Apple is holding their annual music-centric event on September 9, 2009 (or 09/09/09, if you prefer). But guess what else is happening that day. According to a storefront display I saw this morning in the window of the Newbury Street location of Newbury Comics, the remastered catalog of The Beatles will be dropping that day as well. Coincidence? I think not!
I feel quite certain that, despite the fact that Apple’s chosen a tagline from a Rolling Stones song—“It’s only rock and roll, but we like it”—September 9, 2009 will be the day that the music of The Beatles comes to iTunes.
