Geek Force Five - Geeking out about comics, television, movies, music, and video games

Chris holding the Best of NH 2009 award that was given to Geek Force Five

Geek Force Five fans rejoiced back in June at the news that our fine site had been named the 2009 Best of NH: Best Pop Culture Blog. Unfortunately, the blurb on Geek Force Five was accidentally omitted from the Best Of round-up in the July issue of New Hampshire Magazine. It will appear in the September issue instead, but you can read it now at nhmagazine.com.

Our favorite line: “In an age when pop culture is America’s most substantial export to the world, and where presidential candidates announce their campaigns on late night television and engage in serious debates with comedians, a blog like Geek Force Five is a force to be reckoned with.”

Chris, I won’t lie to you; I contribute so much because I’m attempting to ride your coattails to fame, fortune and glory. Right, Shortround?

Shortround: (in amazed, Chinese accented English) Fortune and glory!

Shawn says:

Yeah. It was a pretty lousy flick compared to the other two, but he was a bright spot. Note I refuse to consider Crystal Skull an Indy flick.

You and John Herman both. Seriously, if you ever want to a conversation with John to go seriously, horribly wrong, just bring up Crystal Skull. I think that movie ruined his life (or at least forever tarnished his memories of childhood or something.

I actually didn’t think it was that bad… [runs and ducks]
