Geek Force Roster Change - 02.08.09

With the exception of our April 1, 2008 roster, and last week’s stint by Penelope “Punky” Brewster, the Geek Force Five has been decidedly lacking in the estrogen department. That all changes this week with our first entirely female roster. The Geek Force Five for the week of February 8-14, 2009 are Battlestar Galactica (represented by Number Six), Online Mixtapes (represented by Mixtape Girl), Nintendo (represented by Samus Aran, portrayed here by Jenni Källberg), the New York Comic Con (represented by Silk Spectre II, a character from Watchmen, which was previewed at the con), and Bacon (represented by Mrs. Bacon herself, Kyra Sedgwick). These are the five topics we’ll be discussing in-depth this week.
