Episode Temporarily Unavailable

Aside from releasing Those Little Bastads on my own back in 2002, the publishing ambitions of my adult life have been fairly traditional. I imagined for myself an agent, a publishing deal, and my book screaming for attention on a shelf dominated by Mary Higgins Clark. No matter how much of an entrepreneur I might have been in my adolescence—the release and distribution of the five-issue comic book series Blood Red being the pinnacle of that early career—I was determined to say that I had grown up, that I had moved beyond the vanity that the traditional publishing industry seemed to equate with all self-publishing endeavors.

In today’s episode of Geek Force Utterz, I talk for a few minutes on what changed my mind, on what made me decide to release 01824 through my own Website, and on how the debut of the series made me feel on premiere night.
