G.I. JOE vs. TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN: It All Comes Down to Who Has The Redhead

by E. Christopher Clark | Monday, June 22, 2009

Rachel Nichols as Scarlett in G.I. JOE

There’s a new trailer out for G.I. Joe today, and Harry over at Ain’t It Cool News says that he is now more stoked for this film than he is for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This probably has a lot to do with the mixed reviews that AICN has been getting for the Transformers sequel, but I think I know the real reason why Harry is coming around. And here it is:

Sexy redhead > shape-shifting robots

Seriously! I mean, I was a card-carrying Transformers addict as a kid, and couldn’t have given two shits (maybe one, but not two) about G.I. Joe. But give me a movie featuring Rachel Nichols as a redhead versus a(nother) movie with a non-speaking, non-Volkswagen Bumblebee any day. I mean, yes, Megan Fox is hot. But there was never a stinkin’ love interest in Transformers (unless you count Arcee in the animated movie)! C’mon! At least the guys behind G.I. Joe are being true to the source material.

Right?

As a kid i was all about Scarlet…but now all I can think of is how Megan Fox should have been cast as the Baroness. Sexy time!

There seems to be a lot of love for the Baroness out there right now, but I’m still a Scarlet man myself.

Lol, yes Scarlett owns Bumblebee anyday.

Now… Scarlett owning Bumblebee—actually owning him—that would be an idea. I’d go to that crossover in a heartbeat.
