Schwarzenegger to Appear in TERMINATOR SALVATION (Sort Of)

It turns out that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear in the new Terminator flick. Kinda. Sorta. Here’s Variety on the subject:

A body-cast mold of Schwarzenegger, created when he first appeared as the muscle-ripped cyborg, provided the basis for a digital-effects version of his famous character. The figure appears in Terminator Salvation as a living, breathing actor.

I, for one, am very happy to hear this. While I look forward to seeing Christian Bale take the series in a new direction, I hate when film reboots don’t acknowledge the tradition from whence they came.

How about you? Does this news make you feel any more or less excited for Terminator Salvation?

I think this movie is going to be unreal. Crazy or not Christian Bale is a great choice to play John Conner, and along with the Trek reboot I am looking forward to this big time.

Yeah, I am excited about both reboots. I’m guessing I won’t get to catch either of them until they’re out on DVD—money’s tight, and all—but I will definitely be checking them out as soon as I can watch them on the small screen.

looking forward to Trek… was never that big a terminator fan, but as for Mr. S… did you see The Rundown? He has a 3 second cameo in that movie where he tells “Beck” good luck or have fun? can’t remember which one, but it was like he was handing off his movie career… i do think both movies will be great, and Bale was a great choice

I never did see The Rundown. Is it worth seeing?

I was much more into Terminator than I was into Trek—because of T2, in particular—but I am looking forward to seeing both when they come out ...on DVD. Unless there’s some huge shift in our fortunes, the only movie we’ll be seeing in the theaters this summer is Harry Potter (and maybe Wolverine).

The Rundown is in my top 10 fav movies, if you like The Rock, Sean Williams Scott… they are a trip in this movie… yes see it chris:)

The Rundown was great, I thought the Rock had the potential to take the reins from Ahnald. Apparently not. Great action movie with the lovely Rosario Dawson and Stifler, two thumbs up.
