Second Dharma Initiative Test

By E. Christopher Clark | Wed, Aug 27, 2008

A second Dharma Initiative screening test is up on DharmaWantsYou.com, the site for Lost’s latest alternate reality game (ARG). I think I did better on this “Broad Spectrum Knowledge Analysis” test than I did on the spatial test (first mentioned here), but that’s not saying much. I’m pretty sure there were a few questions that a dude with a Master’s degree (even if it is a Master’s in creative writing) should probably know. And, unlike the spatial test, which told you how much you sucked right out of the gate, this test does not display your results at its conclusion.

How about you? Have you taken the test yet? How do you think you did?

I took the tests. I got a 54 on the first one. Is that good? Or is that out of 100? I’ve always been bad with spatial relationship things. When do we get to find out our scores on test #2?

The first one, I think, is entirely based on how quickly you can solve the puzzle. I’ve tried it a bunch of times, and always completely failed (except for one 30-something). So, you’re doing better than me.

Or well, you did better than me until just now, when I scored a 70. :-)

It’s really weird though. I’m sure that, if I tried it again right now, I would probably end up with a zero again.

...not sure when we find out scores for test #2. Feels like waiting for SAT scores, doesn’t it?

The first one, I played a few times until I got a 79%.  W00T!

The second one… maybe I got it half-right?  Only the first time counts, right?  That’s quite unfortunate.

Yeah, only the first time counts on the second one. 79% is pretty darned good on the first one, though. You should be proud of that, sir. :-)
