Apple Store Boston - Coming Soon!
I had a total moment of geek overload this morning. I was listening to Nine Inch Nails, thinking about last night’s new episode of Lost, and then I came across this sight: the scaffolding coming down in front of the soon-to-open Apple Store on Boylston Street in Boston. I’m obviously a little late to the party, as ifoAppleStore apparently had a post up about this yesterday, but I’m glad that I got to first experience the awesomeness of the scaffolding coming down in person, rather than experiencing it via the Web.
Lost 4.09 Countdown: Day 7 of 7
A new episode of Lost is less than an hour and a half away, but I’m not sure I’m going to still be awake when the awesomeness arrives. It has been a very long week, and while I have no doubt that I could stay up until 10, when the show starts, I have serious doubts about my ability to stay up until 11, when the show ends.
Then again, if I rely on iTunes to deliver me an electronic copy of the episode before I have to leave for the bus tomorrow morning, I might be sorely disappointed.
Decisions, decisions…
Lost 4.09 Countdown: Day 6 of 7
It’s been a busy and stressful day at Geek Force Headquarters. Thankfully, aside from the release of the new NIN single, there hasn’t been much news to report.
The really good thing about a busy day, though, is that all the craziness keeps a guy from aching for that next slice of Lost heaven as bad as he otherwise would.
We’re a little more than twenty-four hours away from awesomeness, people. Get ready.
Nine Inch Nails Get Disciplined
Nine Inch Nails fans who remember the days when we waited five years or so between NIN albums must be absolutely losing their shit right now. Over the course of the last five years, we’ve gotten With Teeth, Year Zero, Ghosts I-IV, a live DVD, and tour after tour. And now, Trent Reznor and company have released their latest single, “Discipline,” to radio, and to Internet fans the world over via their official Website. The chorus of the song features the line, “I need your discipline,” but, as longtime fan, I have to say to Mr. Reznor: “No you don’t!” Dude, if you were any more disciplined right now, you’d be Neidermeyer guest-starring in a Twisted Sister video.
Anyway, the single is “teh awesum,” as the kids say. Isn’t that what the kids say? Well, whatever it is the kids say nowadays to describe something wicked cool, that’s what this single is.
And perhaps it’s our first clue about what’s coming in two weeks.
Lost 4.09 Countdown: Day 5 of 7
You know that new Lost is getting close when video clips from the upcoming episode start showing up online. DarkUFO has three of them. His rumors section also has some very interesting (and potentially very spoilery) tidbits on what might be coming in “The Shape of Things to Come”, most of which I’m inclined to believe, based on other things that I’ve read. And, if you’re itching for news straight from the horse’s mouth, there’s also a new interview with Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof online now at MovieWeb.
