Spoiling Season Five #01

Starting this week, right now, today, let’s make Thursdays the day we take a look back at the week in Lost teasers, spoilers, and rumors. How about that? And just to make sure that nobody who wants to stay pure gets teased or spoiled, let’s throw this discussion down below the fold. Cool? Cool!

(Oh, and remember that, despite the catchy, controversial title, I pretty much stay on the teaser side of the spoiler/teaser line, so if you’re someone who doesn’t mind being teased, you can probably safely click the link.)

Simon Pace’s Butcher Shop
The big news this week, as far as I’m concerned, was the report that the building previously used as the Hoffs/Drawler Funeral Home (seen in the finales of seasons three and four) is being used this season as Simon’s Butcher Shop.

Simon, as in Simon Pace, as in Charlie’s old man.

Uhm, what?!?

So, is this a flashback? And, if so, whose flashback is it? If it’s not a flashback, does that mean that Simon’s Butcher Shop still exists? And if it does still exist, who is running it?

There are so many juicy possibilities here. Will we see Charlie back on the show, in the flesh? I mean, Hurley wouldn’t be hallucinating a place he’d never been, would he? Has someone else been there in the past? Widmore maybe? Did Widmore shop at the butcher shop that Charlie’s dad ran?

I think my head is going to explode from trying to process the sheer awesomeness of it all, so I’m going to step away for now. Let me know what you think about this news in the comments.
