Worth Your Consideration 005 - A GF5 Linkdump
- I first heard this story on Geek Brief TV and I was really excited about it. But this morning, after reading about it on Geekologie, I’m not sure how I feel anymore. Apparently, scientists in Silicon Valley have found bacteria that eat waste and excrete oil. Is this too easy a solution to the energy crisis? I’m not sure. I think it might be. But I hope I’m wrong.
- Way back in the day, round about 1913 or so, the United States Postal Service introduced the “parcel post” mailing rate to the masses. Apparently, the rate was so reasonable back then that, at least twice, someone sent children by parcel post. And if you don’t believe me, check out this photo from the Smithsonian’s archives.
