Music Video Set On/Inside A Mac Desktop

Monday, May 12, 2008

When you have a second, check out the amazing YouTube video that I’ve embedded above. Not only is the song ("Again & Again,” by The Bird and the Bee) great, but the video is set entirely on/inside/within the confines of a Mac desktop. As TUAW puts it, “You sort of have to see it for yourself to understand.”

Even if you’re vehemently anti-Mac, this is worth your trouble. Just imagine Clippy making a special guest appearance, or something.

Good People Day 2008

Thursday, April 03, 2008

Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV called for April 3, 2008 to be Good People Day. Said Gary, “I want to try to get the WHOLE INTERNET community behind this mission I have to make sure that [today] people write and talk and blog and twitter and just flat out SING about people that are AWESOME and GOOD.”

This here vid is my response. In it, I talk mostly about the Internet peeps whose videos help me get through the day. But I’ve begun to contribute my thoughts on my non-Internet, IRL peeps at GoodPeopleDay.net.

Basically, to sum up, if you’re reading this blog, you’re probably good people. And if I don’t write about you today, please don’t feel offended. I will write about you soon enough.

Geek Force FiveCast 006 (Video)

Monday, March 31, 2008

After a two-week hiatus, I’ve brought the Geek Force FiveCast back to life. I’m going to tweak the format a bit. Instead of “five stories, in five minutes or less, five times a week”, I am going to promise a more reasonable “five minutes of geeky content per week.” That’s something that I think I can stick to, something that would have been even easier to stick to tonight, had iMovie cooperated and imported the first version of this show that I recorded earlier today.

In today’s FiveCast, I bring you up to speed on the format change and then talk about my organization system in iTunes. I don’t think it’s nearly as boring as that sentence makes it out to be.

If you’d like, you can subscribe to the show as a podcast via PodShow.com.

Geek Force FiveCast 002 (Video)

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

5 stories, in 5 minutes or less, five days a week (or thereabouts)! The second episode of a semi-regular show/podcast from GeekForceFive.com. Today, we cover 1) Walking in Boston; 2) Addicted to Lost Video (YouTube); 3) Drew Carey on the Price is Right; 4) Interview with Trent Reznor about Ghosts I-IV; and 5) Star Wars Live Action on TV.

You can watch the video here, and on a couple of other video sharing sites across the Interweb. And, if you’d like, you can subscribe to the show as a podcast via PodShow.com. I hope to get it listed in the iTunes Store soon, as well.
